About PAI
PAI is a Dutch not-for-profit organization dedicated to
improving access to health care in Africa. PAI has built an extensive network
working with governments in Africa, development organizations, public and
private institutions and investors. PAI's Head Office is in the Netherlands. In
Tanzania PAI supports an array of projects and collaborates with several
partner institutions including NHIF, Medical Credit Fund, APHFTA, CSSC, TPDF
and the MOHCDGEC.
One of PAI's partners intends to design robust surveillance
and research activities related to various diseases. The partner aims to build
M&E capacity, develop research protocols, curricula, and organize
surveillance studies and health information systems and set-up a Research
Institutional Review Board. Aim of this consultancy is to assess the research
capacity of the partner in its effort to design and implement surveillance and
research activities
PAI invites qualified consultants or institutions to apply
for this consultancy opportunity. The consultant or institution must
demonstrate solid qualifications and experience in the following areas:
epidemiology, ICT, M&E, laboratory and research capacity. Qualifications
and experience must be clearly stipulated in the application and CV(s) attached.
The selected candidate will be requested to
assess the research capacity of the
partner institution and to prepare a technical proposal to scale-up this
capacity, with detailed methodology, for each of the areas as per the terms of
reference. The consultants must be willing to travel upcountry to visit
selected sites for this assignment.
Duration: 4 weeks- October 2017 The deadline for application
