SAMPLE CATCHERS - 2 POSTS
Nature and scope of the Position;
Sample Catchers provides the Mud Loggers with a representative collection of mud samples and cuttings and helps the Mud Loggers in the maintenance of all the equipment installed around the rig, The Sample catcher collects and process cuttings samples, from the planned lagged depths and intervals washes and screens samples, divides them into correct portions' and packs them by sets for Client, partners and trade.
The samples are examined and described according to oil industry standards and client specifications and examined for hydrocarbon shows, The Sample catcher assists in core recovery and core description when required and is responsible for communicating any information that helps maintain Primary Well Control and general well integrity. This includes cuttings sizes and shape, lack of cuttings whilst drilling, gas cut mud and visual inspection of gas sampling apparatus at the shakers.
The Sample catcher assists the Mud Logging Geologist in the maintenance of the equipment.
Qualifications/candidate profile.
Degree/Diploma in any related field from a recognized University.
Bossiet training certificates will be an added advantage.

BULK PLANT OPERATOR - 2 POSTS
Nature and scope of the position;
The Bulk Plant Operator operates the district bulk plant facilities so that the 'prepared products and bulk materials can be delivered to well sites, while maintaining excellent quality control and in accordance with company policies and procedures. She/he assists in training other operators and trainees. Comply with all governmental regulations, industry standards and observes all health, safety and environmental policies to reduce environmental impacts.
Reports to: Bulk Plan Manager / Field Specialist
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Blend and mix all bulk products for delivery to the well site on time and as per the programmed design. Check and/or calculates quantities of material blends required prior to loading. Follow company quality assurance procedures to insure proper loading. Select company service equipment as needed to load a job. Coordinate the bulk products movement to and from the district with the Field Service Managers (FSMs) and Logistics. Assist in the monthly inventory count and ensure all paper work is completed properly on a daily basis for goods received and goods shipped. Ensure all additives are properly labeled and stored in a safe manner and that all empty drums and pails are disposed of in the proper manner. Perform a daily check of bulk plant equipment and maintain all equipment while also ensuring bulk plant is kept clean. Strive for service quality and Service Quality Management (SQM) implementation. Participate in job risk analysis and continual improvement programs in the district. Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times and observe health, safety and environmental policies. Successfully complete required safety training (including but not limited to forklift, drugs and alcohol, electrical, emergency response, fire, first aid, health and hygiene, PPE, SIPP, risk reporting, IT security, hazardous materials, driving).
Qualification/candidates profile;
Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University
Experienced in Plant and Equipment Operation (Experience / Training)
Competencies to be kept current:
Latest upgrades and changes in Bulk Plant Operations and Equipment AU QHSE regulations related to Bulk Plant Operations and Material Handling. Mass Balance skills.
Behavior:
Solid QHSE Commitment, Follow Procedures effectively, communicate effectively-English/Swahili.
