Reports: Executive Chairman
Location: Dar es Salaam
Job purpose
Reporting to the Executive Chairman, the COO will be accountable for the leadership, governance and daily management of the the Group. Nafasi za kazi December 2018
Key Responsibilities
General Management and Oversight
• Working with the various Country General Managers across the Group to guide and oversee the Various aspects of all financial and business planning activities,
Financial Management and Oversight
• Working with the Group Finance Manager to manage and oversee all financial and business planning activities.
Human Resources Management
• Working with the Human Resources Manager, oversee the human resource function for the Group by Ensuring the HR function is properly resourced and represented within the senior management team.
Operations
• Oversee risk management and legal activities
• Business insurance
• Organizational reporting and monitoring
• Ensuring daily operations are running smoothly
Work Experience and Skills
• Bachelor of Commerce Degree or equivalent in relevant field
• An MBA qualification would be an added advantage
• Minimum 10+ years of Senior Management and business experience in marketing, sales, public relations, commercial roles
• Strong thought leadership and cross-functional team management skills
